In Philadelphia, prices were unchanged
to 3 cents higher on the larger sizes and
unchanged to 2 cents higher on mediums.
In Boston, prices were unchanged to 1
cent higher on extra large and medium
and unchanged to 3 cents higher on large.
Prices paid to producers in New England
were 1 cent higher on extra large, 3 cents
higher on large, and unchanged on the re
mainder of sizes. The market tone was
fully steady to firm. Demand was light to
at times good. Supplies were adequate to
occasionally short of full needs. Breaking
stock offerings were usually sufficient for
the moderate to instances good demand.
Light type hens were fully adequate to
ample for slaughter schedules.
