CATTLE: Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers closed steady to .50 lower.
Early sales opened Monday fairly active
and closed Tuesday slow to moderate.
Holstein steers not well tested. Slaughter
heifers traded .50-1.00 higher on early
sales, with a few sales closing Tuesday on
a lower undertone. Breaker and Boner
cows sold mostly steady, with the Lean
cows 1.00 higher, on active trading.
Slaughter bulls were steady. Supply in
cluded 50 percent slaughter steers and 35
percent cows.

Trading was very active, with very good
demand. Supply was light due to Ascen
sion Day. Holstein steers not well tested
