    Weekly Meat Production Under Federal Inspection
WASHINGTON, D.C., May 3 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat
production under federal inspection for the week ending Sat., Apr. 27,
was estimated at 925.6 million lbs., according to the USDA's
Agricultural Marketing Service. This was 1.3% higher than a week ago
and 9.2% higher than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the
year to date was 2.7% higher compared to the previous year.
