slaughter steers opened Monday steady
and improved Tuesday to close .50 higher
on very attractive offerings. Trading was
very active for the top quality cattle, with
very good demand. Holstein steers traded
.50-1.00 lower. Slaughter heifers mostly
steady on a limited supply. Slaughter
cows were very active and prices closed
1.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to 2.00
higher. Supply included 44 percent
slaughter steers and 41 percent cows.
