strongest interest going into fast food for
specials. Supplies were usually in balance
with heavier weights at times still more
available. In the parts structure, trading
was light to good with retail ads aiding in
terest. Breast items were in close supply
to tight of an active call, leg items and
wings were at least adequate and easy to
locate if needed. In production areas, live
supplies were moderate at mixed, but
mostly desirable weights.

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGH
LIGHTS: The market tone was steady to
fully steady on retail sized whole turkeys.
Availability varied by location and date of
shipment. Spot loads for prompt delivery
were sufficient. Some buyers continued to
wait and watch for further developments.
Bulk meat activity was very quiet. Bulk
parts trading consisted of less than truck
lot volume sales.
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS:
A moderate volume of tom drums moved
to the border. Light volumes of thigh
meat, hen necks and tom v-type wings de
livered to port for current shipment, a fair
volume of mechanically separated turkey
for deferred shipment.

Prices on all sizes were unchanged. The
market tone continued steady. Retail and
distributive demand was usually fair to
moderate. Supplies were in a range of
adequate to available at current levels.
The New York State shell egg inventory
increased 37 percent and the New Jersey
inventory was 2 percent more than last
week.
