CATTLE: Compared to Thursday,
slaughter steers opened Monday 1.00
lower, and improved Tuesday to close
mostly steady. Trading was very active
Tuesday, with good demand. Holstein
steers traded 1.00 lower. Slaughter heifers
not well tested. Slaughter cows traded
very active and prices were firm to 1.00
higher. Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00
higher. Mondays special feeder cattle sale
consisted of 346 head of all fresh cattle.
Trading was very active for thin calves,
with many buyers on hand. Supply in-
