Feedstuff prices are generally steady to
weak, the exception being hominy feed,
which is 4.00 to 7.00 lower. Distillers dry
grains and wheat midds remain in fairly
tight supply. Drought is the topic of most
conversations when discussing crop con
ditions, even though some areas have re
ceived rain, it has been a while since most
crops have seen any moisture. Planting
has begun in the Com Belt, although
rains have moved in causing some delays.
Feed ingredient prices are expected to
hold near steady, barring severe weather
conditions. Although with the current
state of the livestock market, only time
will tell.
SOYBEAN MEAL; 48 percent rail
steady to 1.00 lower at 156.50-159 50. 48
percent truck steady to 1.00 higher at
159.50-166.50 per ton.
