April 9,2002
Report Supplied By USDA
Trucklot buying activity on ready-to
cook whole broiler/ffyers was light and
unaggressive as traders remain cautious
for increased availability of product. Of
ferings of the 3 pound and heavier birds
were fully adequate to ample and the 2.5
pound birds were readily available. Move
ment through retail and distributive chan
nels was slow. The market tone was no
better than barely steady.
