Weekly Meat Production Under Federal Inspection
WASHINGTON. D.C., Apr. 5 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat
production under federal inspection for the week ending Sat., Apr. 6
was estimated at 837.9 million lbs., according to the USDA's
Agricultural Marketing Service. This was 1.5% lower than a week ago
and 1.7% higher than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the
year to date was 1.3% higher compared to the previous year.
