closing prices, slaughter steers 1.00 to 1.50
higher. Demand Good, with average qual
ity Holstein steers steady to firm. Slaugh
ter heifers steady to .50 higher, instances
1.00 higher. Feedlots in the Plains and
Midwest reported live cattle 71.00-73.25
and dressed sales at 112.00-116.00.
Slaughter cows 1 00-2.00 higher for the
week, with very active trading. Slaughter
bulls were steady to 2.00 higher. Supply
included 44 percent slaughter steers, 5
percent slaughter heifers, 36 percent
cows, 4 percent bulls, with the balance
feeders
