March 27,2002 Report Supplied By USDA Prices were trending lower on mediums and sharply lower on larger sizes in most of the major terminal markets. The mar ket tone was weak as traders confidence of market values take a post holiday move. Retail movement was seasonally active and generally reported as moderate to good with best movement noted where limited attractive features were in pro gress. Supplies were irregular and usually in a range of well balance to available for trade needs. However, most traders were unwilling to take on any new inventories and were trying to get floor stocks to a minimum level. Breaking stock in ventories were tight in some locations to fully adequate at others. Offerings of nest run increased and were about ade- quate to ample for the light and very cautious demand.
