Grain Market
Summary
St. Joseph, MO
March 27,2002
Report Supplied By USDA
Grain and soybean bids are on a roll,
two consecutive days of higher trends. Of
course, tomorrow USDA will release their
government reports ever- one has been
anticipating. Com and soybean received
good overnight export orders, especially
com. Wheat exports have been good over
the past couple of weeks. Wheat 1 to 6
cents higher. Com 1 to 2 cents higher.
Sorghum 3 to 4 cents higher. Soybeans S
to 8 cents higher.
Wheat bids were also supported by
continued crop concerns as many winter
wheat areas remain too dry. Some areas
in the eastern belt have even received an
overabundant amount of moisture, boost
ing wheat bids.
Good export sales overnight for com
underpinned bids but ideas a higher acre
age number will be in tomorrows planting
report is keeping bids from moving sharp
ly higher. Higher soybean bids also reflect
trade expectations for Thursdays govern
ment report numbers.
