Mara is a very winter hardy diploid ryegrass
from Romania where summers are hot and quite
dry and winters very cold.
Mara is proving itself better adapted to the Mid-
Atlantic region than most perennial ryegrasses.
Mara offers: rapid establishment, excellent feed
value, late maturity (May 20-25 to boot stage in
Lane. Co.) good heat tolerance, high yields, great
stand density, good palatability.
For pasture we recommend seeding Alice White
and Cyclone Red Clover along with the ryegrass.
MARA IS NOW THE MAJOR COMPONENT
OF OUR POPULAR BG 34 RYEGRASS
BLEND.
