Richard Heineman, also from the Etlers area, is planning
to take “Rhino” to compete.
farm one day, a calf he paid for
after the show season, and he
has continued to enjoy raising
and has shown cattle ever since.
“He (Richard) was so little we
couldn’t see him over the steer,”
said Robert.
That first calf, “Black Jack,”
stayed in his cousins’ barn since
he then lived in a development.
The family has since moved into
a home with enough land for a
bam.
As Richard looks to major in
civil engineering and move onto
college, his father plans to keep
cattle at the farm.
