New Jersey and You In 2002!
Cultural Day Tours
New Jersey is such a small state there couldn’t be
anything there for me to do!
1. Dolphin/Whale Watching
Are you up for a three hour tour? Don’t worry Gilligau
will not be your first mate on this 3 hour ride on the S.S.
CRUISE N 1. This will be a relaxing cruise on the open
waters off of Atlantic City. While taking in the beautiful
sights be; on the lookout for Dolphins and Whales. The
tours will leave the Trump Taj Mahal hotel at 12:30 PM
and arrive back at the hotel at 4:00 PM for a cost of
$35.00 per person.
2. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
New Jersey’s finest landmark. Did your family come
through Ellis Island? Was the Statue of Liberty the first
thing your ancestors saw when they came to America?
Learn about the trials and tribulations people went
through to come to the great melting pot. See the Statue
in all her glory. The cost is $35.00/person, lunch is on
your own. Transportation to Liberty Island leaves the
hotel at 7:00 AM and will return at 5:00 PM.
For more information, contact Judy Bagge, jbagge@holstein.com (800) 952-5200, ext. 4128
to attend that registration deadline
is May 15.
Said Valen, “The National
Holstein Convention will provide
a unique opportunity for agribusi
ness representatives to gather with
Holstein breeders from around the
country in Atlantic City. More
than 3,000 are expected to attend
this exciting event.”
The host association has picked
the theme, “New Jersey and You in
2002,” adopted from the state's
popular tourist slogan, to empha
size the importance of N.J. to the
U.S. food-producing industry.

battles of the War for Independence were fought in New
Jersey than any other state. Join us as we follow in the
footsteps of General Washington and his gallant conti
nentals. Cross the Delaware to defeat the dreaded
Hessians in Trenton. March north to stop the British at
Princeton. After touring the old college town, nose east to
catch the main English army at the Battle of Monmouth.
You will walk the ground where the freedom we all value
so much was won for us. A box lunch will be included for
a cost of $35.00/person. The tour will leave at 7:30 AM
and will return at 5:30 PM.
4. Fishing
So you want to fish in a big pond. This eight-hour trip will
