Weekly Meat Production Under Federal Inspection
WASHINGTON, D.C., Mar. 15 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat produc
tion under federal inspection for the week ending Sat., Mar. 16, was estimated
at 876.4 million lb, according to the USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service.
This was 2.2% higher than a week ago and 3.2% higher than a year ago.
Cumulative meat production for the year to date was 1.1% higher compared to
the previous year.
