Ail-Pa. Awards
The 2001 All-Pennsylvania
Awards were presented at the
Pennsylvania Holstein Associa
tion Awards Breakfast held dur
ing the annual convention in Al
toona. The All-Pennsylvania
awards are given to the top ani
mals in each of 20 classes from
three major shows sponsored by
the Pennsylvania Holstein Asso
ciation.
Animals shown at the Spring
Show, one of seven regional
championship shows, and the
Fall Championship Show earn
points toward All-Pennsylvania
honors.
In 2001, some 1,325 head were
shown at these major shows with
82 head earning All-Pennsylva
nia recognition.
James and Nina Burdette,
Mercersburg, led the way with
three All-Pennsylvania awards,
four reserve All-Pennsylvania
awards, and one honorable men-
tion award. Clayton Wood, Lit
tlestown, received three All-
Pennsylvania award reserve All-
Pennsylvania, and one honorable
mention award. Andrew Stoner
of Waynesburg also received
three All-Pennsylvania awards.
