Trucklot buying activity on ready-to
cook whole broiler/fryers was light and
unaggressive during midweek trading.
Offerings of the 3.5 to 4 pound birds
were readily available and the balance of
sizes were at least adequate. Movement
through retail and distributive channels
was slow The market tone was no better
than steady on the 3 pound and lighter
birds, barely steady on the heavier
weights

Prices were higher on larger sizes and
unchanged on medium. The market tone
was fully steady to instances firm on
heavier weights and steady on balance of
sizes Demand was light to moderate,
best where featured. In the New York
area large eggs were being advertised at
79 cents per dozen, limit of four Large
eggs were also being promoted in the
area at 99 cents per dozen, no limit. Sup
plies were sufficient for current require
ments.

There were no export sales reported
overnight but optimism is high
