Movement of ready-to-cook whole
birds was moderate and clearing the
market at a reasonable rate. Demand
was moderate with average buyer inter
est and trading. Live supplies were mod
erate for the market being reported on
an estimated slaughter of 1,280,000 com
pared to 1.343,000 last Wednesday.
Weights were desirable. Processing
schedules were moderate. Supply and
demand of bone-in breasts were moder
ate for the market being reported.
Negotiated F. 0.8. dock prices, 2
pounds and heavier ice-packed broilers
and fryers, trucklot sales of US Grade A
or equivalent were steady at .47 - .60 per
pound; less than trucklot sales .49 -.67
per pound.

birds was limited mainly to shipments of
standing commitments. Seller offerings
were readily available and spot sales
were usually at highly competitive price
levels. Live supplies were at least moder
ate; weights were mostly desirable to
heavy. Processing schedules were mod
erate to moderately heavy. Less than
trucklot asking prices were unchanged
at 52 to 66 cents. Trade sentiment was
mostly weak.
In the parts complex, all cuts were at
least adequate for the disappointingly
light buying interest.

and usually ranged barely steady to
weak. Demand continued light to mod
erate. Supplies were adequate to avail
able for present requirements. Breaking
stock demand was only fair for generally
adequate offerings. Light type hens were
sufficient to fully sufficient for normal
processing schedules.
