The Tioga County Woodland Owner’s Association is being formed and will conduct its first meeting Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. at The Pennsylvania College of Technology North Campus. Regional' Extension Forester Dr. Robert Hansen will present “Habitat, Cutting, and Landown er Objectives.” There will also be a short pre sentation about the new Wood land Owner’s Association. This is an opportunity for for est landowners to learn about the first steps in caring for their woodlands. Anyone interested in caring for our forests is invited, whether you own a woodlot or not. The association will conduct numerous educational meetings and woodland tours on a regular basis. Honors Farmland Preservationist GETTYSBURG (Adams Co.) Adams County is one of six Pennsylvania counties to reach their goal of preserving more than 10,000 acres of farmland. At a recent gathering of the Adams County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, Presi dent Tim Brown presented for mer board member Bill Oyler with a plaque thanking him for his 10 years of service to the board.
