NATIONAL YOUNG TURKEY
PARTS AND BULK MEAT, Frozen,
unless specified, cents per lb, delivered
first receivers, part and full truckiots, as
of Dec. 12,2001.
The trade sentiment on tom breast
meat and destrapped tenderloins was
steady to instances weak, breast trim
steady to barely steady with ground the
softest, scapula barely steady at best and
wing meat steady. White meat demand
was light. Offerings of tom breast meat
and destrapped tenderloins ranged ade
quate to ample, breast trim mixed with
ground the most readily available, sca
pula fully adequate, and wing meat was
generally adequate. Domestic trading
centered on a moderately heavy volume
of fresh 15-20% mechanically separate
turkey (MST), balance slow. Grade A 4-
8 lb breasts traded at 94.75 cents deliv
ered January. Export trading consisted
of light volumes of thigh meat, drums
and MST. Offerings of frozen thigh meat
continued to be held with confidence
with higher trending offering and sales
prices noted.
