cattle were steady to firm on weights
under 500 lb in a light market test. Trad
ing activity was moderate. Demand was
moderate. Receipts this week 64% beef
type steers, 13% holstein steers and 23%
heifers. Confirmed sales 2800 this week,
1450 last week and 3250 a year ago.

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGH
LIGHTS: The market tone on fresh and
frozen whole turkeys was steady to firm,
most strength noted on hens. Supplies
were mixed for fresh and frozen whole
body turkeys. Fairly good movement in
the West noted on frozen hens and toms
at steady levels. Bulk parts and meats
was steady, however frozen thigh meat
showing increased improvement
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS-
Trading centered on heavy volume of
frozen thigh meat and on a light volume
of tom drums. Movement was to Mexico
and Asia.
