In Philadelphia prices were 1 cent
higher on all sizes. Prices in New Eng
land were 1 cent higher on extra large
and large, 3 cents higher on medium,
and unchanged on balance. In Boston
prices were unchanged. The market tone
was steady to fully steady. Demand was
moderate to good, better where promo
tions were in place. Supplies were gener
ally adequate for trade needs. Breaking
stock demand was moderate and offer
ings were usually adequate. Light type
fowl were fully adeuate for normal pro
cessing schedules.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole
birds was generally noted as no better
than fair with the bulk of activity cen
tered around standing commitments.
Offerings were fully adequate to ample.
Live supplies were at least moderate;
weights varied and were mostly in a de
sirable range. Processing schedules were
moderate. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 55 to 69 cents.
Trade sentiment was about steady at
best. In the parts complex, all items were
at least adequate for the typically lack
