welcome Ken Root, former host
of nationally-snydicated radio
show, Agri-Talk, as its keynote
speaker at the 25th annual Agri
culture Industry Banquet.
The event will be Monday,
Nov. 5 at Willow Valley Resort
and Conference Center. A re
ception will begin at 5 p.m., fol
lowed by dinner at 6.30 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Agricul
ture’s True Harvest.”
Root has served in a number
of different roles as an agricul
tural advocate over his career.
He is a past vocational agricul
tural teacher. Root also spent
seven years as a farm news
broadcaster in Kansas before
moving on to New Jersey and
