Daily National Grain Market Summary St. Joseph, MO September 10,2001 Report Supplied By USDA Wheat bids were higher as weekly export figures were better than expected. Corn and soybean bids also showed strength, despite lower than expected weekly export inspection numbers. Fall weather moved into the Midwest areas over the weekend with cooler tempera tures and dryer conditions. Some frost concerns in the Corn Belt areas offered light support to corn and bean bids. Wheat steady to 4 cents higher and up to 11 cents higher in Kansas City. Corn 1 to 3 cents higher except So lowa 1 cent lower. Sorghum 1 cent higher. Soybeans 2 to 7 cents higher. Grains inspected for export for week ended 9/6/01: Wheat totaled 22.4 million bushels, up 200 thousand bushels, corn 35.6, down 4.0, sorghum 3.6 million bushels, up 1.6, and soybeans 6.3, down 700 thousand bushels. Year to date: Wheat totaled 248.2, down 51.8, corn 28.3, down 11.3, sorghum 2.9, up 1.9, and soybeans 4.5, down 11.4.
