    MADISON, Wis. More than 65,000 visitors are
expected to attend the 35th World Dairy Expo at the
Alliant Energy Center here Oct. 3-7.
At last year’s event, visitors included 3,532 interna
tional attendees from 85 countries and more than
2,000 head of dairy cattle displayed by 810 exhibitors
and owners from 33 states and 8 Canadian provinces.
About 1,480 commercial exhibit booths are planned
by exhibitors from 15 countries, seven Canadian prov
inces and 41 U.S. states.

Maple Lawn Farm is one of the closest dairy farms
to Washington D.C. and has been called “a show place
of American agriculture.” This city girl has taken well
to her role as dairy industry ambassador providing
tours and education to foreign delegations from some
27 countries including Africa, Greece, Israel and Saudi
Arabia.

who are successful in the barn and the show ring in
their own right, Judy and Charlie lager still have time
to scout out one more milk bottle for their large and
valuable collection, as well as oversee the church cem
etery for the past 25 years. World Dairy Expo salutes
