Receipts this week 169,800,
last week 160,200; year ago
139,000. Feeder steers and
heifers sold mostly steady
again this week, according
to USDA Livestock and
Grain Market News Service.
A few more numbers sold on
the plus side than lower as
calf country of the Southeast
was steady to 2 00 higher.
Their marketings were
sharply under a year ago as
late summer rams put some
life in the pastures in the
Southeast and Southwest.
However, some other places
showing seasonally in
creased receipts even with
the holiday this week The
slaughter market was a little
weaker this week but still
