under federal inspection for the week, ending Saturday, Sept 8, was estimated
at 796 3 million lb, according to the USDA's Agricultural Marketing Seivice
This was 11 8% lower than a week ago and 25% lower than a year ago
Cumulative meat production for the year to date was 2 6% lower compared to
the previous year
