Chosen Two-Star Winner

The National FFA Organiza
tion recently selected the Lancas
ter Mennonite FFA Chapter as a
two-star winner in the National
FFA Chapter Award program.
The chapter members have been
invited to attend the 74th Nation
al FFA Convention in Louisville,
Ky., where they will be recog
nized for this honor.
The National FFA Chapter
Award program recognizes FFA
chapters for developing and con
ducting a detailed Program of
Activities (POA). These activities
and projects provide citizenship,
personal and leadership develop
ment opportunities to students.
Each activity is categorized into
one of three areas: student, chap
ter, or community development.
Every year, chapters are recog
nized as having earned a one, two
or three-star rating on their ap
plication. The three-star rating is
the highest level of accomplish
ment a chapter may achieve.
The Lancaster Mennonite FFA
Chapter has been selected as a
two-star winner for more than
500 nationwide applications. The
award program is sponsored by
Cargill and Land O’Lakes as a
special project of the National
FFA Foundation.
