Jersey Chosen Supreme Champion At Bedford Fair
LINDA WILLIAMS
Bedford Co. Correspondent
BEDFORD (Bedford Co.)
“Each cow here represents her
breed well,” said judge Jeff Reas
ner as the seven dairy cows, each
already a champion, were led in
to the ring for the Supreme
Champion show.
Remarking on the good udders
and great feet and legs of the
9-year-old jersey owned by Keith
Fisher and shown by Chriselle
Fisher, he pronounced her the su
preme.
The Fishers live on a farm in
New Enterprise and are no
strangers to the show ring. The
previous week they took home
both Supreme and Reserve hon
ors from the Morrisons Cove
Dairy Show with the Jersey and
a Holstein.
Reserve grand at the Bedford
Fair went to Aaron Gable and his
Guernsey.
A check and a banner was
presented by Agway to the Fish
ers. Gable received a banner and
check from Bilger’s Breeding
Service.
Other champions in the ring
included Ronnie Morse and his
Holstein; Ashley and Kristen
Fisher with their Milking Short
horn; Brants Homestead and
their Ayrshire; Ray Mowry Sr.
And a Red and White and Nick
Burket with his Brown Swiss.
