The Hawbakers purchased this picturesque farm in Shade
Gap in 1994. They tend a milking herd of about 85 Holsteins,
growing their own hay, corn, and soybeans to feed the dairy
animals.
Since moving onto the property, they have added a new

equipment shed and concrete silo while continuing to keep
the farm grounds spruce and trim.
The Hawbakers began a family soon after moving to the
farm and now boast three children Makayla, 6, Bryce, 5,
and Sadie, 2Vt. A fourth is expected in August.
