For Friday, July 20: CATTLE: Com
pared to last week’s closing prices, trad
ing began slow with prices steady.
However, by midweek trading became
active especially for high dressing
Choice steers. Price levels remained
steady throughout the week with 1.00-
2.00 increase on high dressing steers.
Holstein steer prices were generally 1.00-
2.00 higher than last week. Offerings of
Holstein steers were the heaviest Tues
day with a high percent of fleshy Choice
type steers. Supplies of slaughter heifers
continue to be light with limited
