Prices remained unchanged in all lo
cations. The market tone was steady to
about steady. Demand ranged light to
moderate, best where features were a
factor. In the Philadelphia area, large
18-count eggs were advertised at 99
cents with a limit of one. Supplies were
adequate to available for current trade
requirements. Breaking stock offerings
were about adequate to fully adequate
for the moderate to good demand. Light
type hens were fully sufficient to ample
for slaughter needs.

At a glance, June 27;
DOMESTIC MARKET HIGH
LIGHTS: Trade sentiment was at least
steady on hens and consumer sized toms.
Inquiry ranged light to instances fair on
whole turkeys with improved interest
starting to be noted for deferred ship
ments in some parts of the country.
Trading slow. The market on bulk meat
items was mostly steady with trading
centered on fresh tom breast meat and
fresh 15-20% mechanically separated
turkey (MST). The thigh meat market
continued to show signs of weakness and
most sellers continued to be confident in
the MST market. Bulk parts were gener
ally steady with trading consisting
mostly of light volumes.
EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS:
Trading was active on frozen thigh meat
at lower trending price levels and
moderately light on tom drums at steady
prices. Market activity was light on the
balance of items. Some sellers have
noted a less aggressive buyer interest
from Mexico while they wait for new
permits to be released.

Trucklot buying interest was mostly
moderate and noted as typical of
midweek activity, however, many deal
ers were working from fully sufficient
floorstocks in anticipation of approach
ing holiday movement. Offerings of
bone-in breasts were in good balance,
and boneless-skinless breasts were clear
ing well. Legs and leg quarters were at
least adequate. Wings remained readily
available. Movement through retail and
distributive channels was moderate, and
was best where feature activity was a
factor.
The market tone was fully steady to
instances firm on breast items, about
steady on dark meat cuts, no better than
steady on wings.
