CATTLE: Compared to last Thurs
day, early sales slaughter steers traded
steady to .50 higher on the plainer type.
Trading opened slow on Monday for the
plainer cattle and turned active on Tues
day’s good offering. Holstein steers sold
mostly steady. Slaughter heifers not well
tested. Slaughter cow prices were steady
to firm. Slaughter bulls sold steady on a
light test. Supply included 55 percent
slaughter steers and 34 percent cows.
