A6-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, June 23 2001 Daily National Grain Market Summary St. Joseph, MO June 20,2001 Report Supplied By USDA Weather is the major weakening factor in today’s trading. Favorable growing conditions across the Midwest and Corn Belt have bids back on the downslide. Wheat steady to 6 cents lower. Corn 2 to 3 cents lower. Sorghum 5 cents lower. Soybeans 3 to 4 cents lower. Good weather conditions for crops al ready in the ground and scattered rains are reported all around. Wheat harvest pressure has been weighing on bids. However, with soybean planting not completed and rain delays in wheat cut ting, bids were able to hold on to some of the recent gains. Export interest was light for corn but nothing else was announced.
