Trucklot buying activity was light to
fair during mid-week trading as dealers
remain cautious and centered around
purchases of normally committed prod
uct. Offerings of bone-in breasts were ad
equate to available, boneless skinless
breasts were adequate to fully adequate.
Dark meat items were more than suffi
cient for trade needs. Wings were at least
adequate. Movement through retail and
distributive channels was fair to moder
ate, best where features were in progress.
The market tone was no better than
steady on breast and leg items, steady on
the balance.

sugar yolks, balance unchanged to lower
when compared to a week earlier. Sup
plies were irregular but usually limited
on yolks, and adequate on balance.
Demand was in a full range of light to
good. Trade sentiment was mixed but
improved as traders continue to watch
further market developments. Liquid
and frozen eggs (ingredients included)
processed under federal inspection in the
Eastern region for the week ending June
09,2001 were 46 % more than the previ
ous week, but 18 % less than a year ago.
