Weekly Cattle Summary: Compared to
last week: Feeder steers steady to 1.00
higher. Feeder heifers steady. Few steer
and heifer calves steady. Demand very
good for all classes. Feeder cattle con
tinue to run rather light with limited
numbers of steers over 850 lbs and heif
ers over 750 lbs. Receipts this week
12,101; last week 14,364; last year 8307.
Supply consisted of 79 percent yearlings
over 600 lbs; 18 percent calves and light
yearlings under 600 lbs; 3 percent cows
and bulls. Heifers comprised 42 percent
of feeder and calf supply.
