day, slaughter steers High Choice and
Primegrades traded mostly steady, with
average Choice .50 lower. Early sales of
slaughter steers opened slightly lower
but prices held on Tuesday’s goodoffer
ing. Holstein steers traded firm. Slaugh
ter heifers not well tested. Slaughter
cows sold 1.00 higher on active trading.
Slaughter bull prices were steady to 1.00
lower. Next week, May 14th will be the
next feeder cattle sale. Supply included
55 percent slaughter steers and 35 per
cent cows.
