Douglas Wolfe was recognized
for earning state and national
proficiency awards in diversified
livestock production.
Jessie Camp, Traci Gessner,
Sheena Moser and Melanie Page
were recognized for receiving
FFA Keystone Degrees, the high
est achievement degree given by
the Pennsylvania FFA.
Daniel Kenamond received
the SUN Area FFA Star Farmer
Award, and Lindsay Spangler re
ceived the Union County Star
Farmer Award from the First
National Bank of Beavertown.
Melissa Kurtz received the
Kuhns Brothers Forestry Award
as the top Union County scorer
in a forestry career development
event. Rhonda Hook received the
Star Chapter Farmer Award,
Heather Reaser received the Star
Chapter Agribusiness Award,
and Kelly Keefer received the
Star Greenhand Award.
Norman Conrad, Union Coun
ty extension agent, received an
Honorary Chapter Fanner De
gree for his contributions to the
FFA. “Country Farm and
Home,” represented by Kathy
Spangler, was recognized for its
support of chapter activities.
Jessie Camp received the Ro
berta Ann Walter Scholarship,
established by Doug Walter, a
former Mifflinburg FFA member
and state FFA officer, in memory
of his sister. The scholarship is
given to a senior FFA member
planning to further his or her ed
ucation.
Clinton Morris received a re
gional award for his project re
cord book, and Lindsay Spangler
received a county award, both
presented by Ag Choice Fram
Credit and the Pennsylvania
Farm Bureau.
Penny Spangler was selected
to receive a lamb given by Moun
tain View Farms.
