Movement of ready-to-cook whole
birds was light to fair at best and typical
of mid-week activity. Seller offerings
again varied by both size and volume but
were generally noted as fully sufficient.
Live supplies were moderate; weights
were light to heavy, mostly desirable to
heavy. Processing schedules were mod
erate to moderately heavy. Less than
trucklot asking prices were unchanged
at 53 to 67 cents. Trade sentiment was
mostly steady. In the parts complex,
with the exception of wings which had
increased in availability to a limited
buying interest, supplies were generally
noted as in good balance to closely
cleared.

In Philadelphia, prices were un
changed to 2 cents lower for the larger
sizes and unchanged on mediums. Prices
paid to producers in New England were
2 cents lower for the larger sizes and un
changed on the smaller sizes. In Boston,
prices remained unchanged. The market
tone was steady to barely steady.
Demand ranged light to moderate and
slightly better where features were a
factor. Supplies were adequate to in
stances ample. Breaking stock supplies
were fully adequate to ample for the fair
demand. Light type fowl were ample for
slaughter schedules.
