Compared to last week' Feeder cattle

lbs mostly new crops 3.00-5.00 lower

for feeder cattle early in the day but
turned very good by afternoon. Demand

Weigh-ups average to full, few gaunt.
Slaughter cows 2.00 lower. Slaughter
bulls steady to 1.00 lower. Packer
demand good. Total of 590 cows and
bulls sold with 32 percent to packers. Re
ceipts this week 14,950; last week 11,740;
last year 13,620.
Supply consisted of 81 percent year
lings over 600 lbs; IS percent calves and
light yearlings under 600 lbs; 4 percent
cows and bulls.
Heifers comprised 36 percent of feeder
and calf supply.
