Midweek trucklot buying interest was
light as dealers remained cautious and
continued to work on a hand-to-mouth
basis. Offerings of boneless skinless
breasts were at least adequate to avail
able, and bone-in in breasts ranged ade
quate to balanced. Wings continued to
see strong interest and were clearing
well, and boneless-skinless thigh meat
was no more than adequate. Movement
through retail and distributive channels
was only fair, however, foodservice sec
tors were actively drawing product from
the market. The market tone was fully
steady to instances firm on wings and
boneless-skinless thigh meat, at least
steady on the balance.
