Front gang mounted gauge wheels make a

NCGA and its grassroots

that issuing the waiver is bad

• The exemption would
adversely affect air quality in
California.
• Investment in
new ethanol plants
would be jeopard

would generate.
“Granting Cali
fornia a waiver
never made any
sense. I can under
stand why state offi
cials wanted to
remove MTBE from
their gasoline sup

would have unfairly
hurt ethanol. Cali
fornia would have
gotten dirtier air,
and the good repu

would have been
slandered,” said
NCGA President

Klein lauded
