Allow the quilt to soak 20 minutes without agitation then gently agitate for two min utes. Wring gently to remove excess water. Do not store quilts in plastic bags which can cause mold. In stead wrap in a sheet. Do not allow it to come in direct contact with wood, which will leach the stain. Display out of direct sunlight. “Accept and appreciate the age of a quilt,” Bevin said.
