light for feeders as transportation condi
tions difficult to feedlots after weekend
ice storm to the west. Stockers and
calves 1.00-4.00 lower. Demand moder
ate for Stockers and calves. Quality of
supply average. Feeder cattle and calves
in thin to average flesh, few fleshy.
Weigh-ups gaunt to average, few full.
Slaughter cows and bulls firm to 1.00
higher with good demand. Total of 210
cows and bulls sold with 40 percent
going to packers.
Receipts this week 5300; last week
9702; last year 1376.
Supply consisted of 67 percent year
lings over 600 lbs; 29 percent calves and
light yearlings under 600 lbs; 4 percent
cows and bulls.
