    Free PCD ART Workshops
LANCASTER (Lancaster Co.)
Lancaster DHIA is offering
free PCDART workshops during
February and March for all
PCDART users.
Jere High, Lancaster DHIA
computer support person and
Steve Hershey, a dairyman and
PCDART user, will conduct the
workshops.
Instructions will include cre
ating reports and using your re
cords to make management
changes in your herd. The latest
version of Pocket Dairy will be
shown and explained during the
workshops. Interested dairymen
not using PCDART are also wel
come to attend.
The workshops will be on the
following dates:
• Feb. 1 Mifflin, Union,
Snyder, Juanita counties at
Camelot Restaurant (322 west to
Millroy Exit, turn right, restau
rant on left).
• Feb. 2 Franklin and Cum-

berland counties at Antrim
House Restaurant (Rt. 16,
Greencastle).
• Feb. 22 Lancaster, Leba
non, Berks, and York counties at
Kreider’s Restaurant (Rt. 72,
south of Manheim).
• March 1 Lancaster, Leba
non, Berks, and York counties at
Kreider’s Restaurant (Rt. 72,
south of Manheim).
• March 23 Somerset,
Westmoreland, and Garrett
(Md.) counties at Kings Family
Restaurant (Somerset).
• March 28 Huntingdon,
Blair, and Bedford counties at
Williamsburg Farm Show Build
ing (Blair County).
All workshops run from 9:30
a.m. until 3 p.m. with coffee, pas
tries, lunch provided. Please
make reservations at least three
days prior to the workshop you
wish to attend.

Conference Feb. 12-13
QUARRYVILLE (Lancaster
Co.) The eighth annual South
east Pennsylvania Grazing Con
ference is scheduled Feb. 12-13
here at the Hoffman Building on
the Solanco Fairgrounds.
Sponsored by the Lancaster
County Graziers, the meeting
them is “Maximizing Manage
ment.”
Speakers include Jerry Brun
netti, Dave Forgey, Tim Fritz,
Kenneth King, Glen Moyer,
Harry Strite, and Duane Hertzl
er. An open forum will allow
those who attend to question the
speakers Monday, Feb. 12.
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, a work
shop with the speakers on the
topics discussed will be featured.
Cost for the meeting is $3O per
person preregistered and $l5 for
each person from the same
household. Late registration and
walk-ins is $4O per person. Regis
tration must be postmarked by
Feb. 1.
