CATTLE: Compared to last Thurs
day, slaughter steers and holstems sold
mostly steady. Tuesday’s quality was av
erage with a few lots of attractive cattle
on offer. A good set of slaughter heifers
sold .50 higher. The bulk of the heifers
were sold in single-head lots with most of
those trading at a premium.
Slaughter cows traded steady to firm.
Slaughter bulls sold steady, with in
stances 1.00 higher on the high dressing
Yield Grade 1. Supply included 34 per
cent slaughter steers and 51 percent
cows.

CATTLE: Compared to Tuesday,
slaughter steers sold steady to firm.
Trading was active, with good demand
for the top quality cattle. Holstein steers
and slaughter heifers mostly steady.
Slaughter cows traded 1.00-2.00 higher
with very active trading. Slaughter bulls
have no comparison but a higher under
tone noted. Supply included 31 percent
slaughter steers and 49 percent cows.
