Daily National
Grain Market
Summary
St. Joseph, MO
December 27,2000
Report Supplied By USDA
Another day without fresh export
sales and carryover fund selling, lent
pressure to wheat and soybean bids and
limited advances in corn bids. Bitter cold
temperatures increased feed demand
across the country giving some support
to corn. Wheat steady to 3 cents lower.
Corn 2 to 4 cents higher. Sorghum
steady to 4 cents higher. Soybeans 5 to 7
cents lower.
Winterkill concerns still m the picture
but recent mild temperatures in winter
wheat growing areas have eased fears.
Continued lack of foreign interest this
week spurred fund selling in wheat and
bean pits. Frozen waterways and upcom
ing delivery dates were also declining
factors. Further weakness in soybean
bids came from favorable growing
weather in South America where wide
spread rainfall was reported.

THESE MAY NOT BE THE ONLY
EXPORT SALES THAT HAVE TRAN
