USDA Invites State Participation In Market Improvement Program WASHINGTON, D.C. The USDA is inviting state depart ments of agriculture and other appropriate state agencies to submit proposals for matching funds under the Federal-State Marketing Improvement Pro gram (FSMIP). For fiscal year 2001, USDA has allocated $1.35 million in federal funds for the administra tion of FSMIP grants. This rep resents a $150,000 increase over Fiscal Year-2000 funding levels. USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) administers this program.
