Majority prices were unchanged to
slightly higher on sugar yolk, other ma
jorities were unchanged when compared
to a week earlier. Trading was limited
with traders usually in a holiday mode.
Supplies were adequate but usually not
offered out at discounts . Liquid and
frozen eggs (ingredients included) pro
cessed under federal inspection in the
Eastern region for the week ending De
cember 16,2000 were 69% more than
last week but 18 % less than a year ago.

for current requirements. Breaking stock

fair, but unaggressive demand. Process
ing schedules were reduced.

to instances tight. Breaking stock sup

Trucklot buying interest was generally
fair during midweek trading. Offerings
of bone-in breasts were ample and avail
able at sharp discounts.
Boneless-skinless breasts were ade
quate, and dark meat items were more
than sufficient. Wings remained the
strongest item and were usually short of
full needs. Movement into retail and dis
tributive channels was limited. The
market tone was weak on bone-in
breasts, fully steady to firm on wings,
about steady on the balance.
